Albion Animal Center
Allison Baird, DVM began her career in the veterinary field at 15 years old. She started off as a kennel assistant and her passion began to grow. She pursued her career and received her Bachelors of Science degree at the University of Findlay. From there she continued on to Ross University and graduated as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in January of 2013. Her professional passions include all areas of surgery, reproduction, and preventive medicine.
She established Pine Hollow Veterinary Services and in January 2017 she purchased Western Reserve Animal Clinic, Albion Animal Center and Animal Hospital of Meadville. In August of 2023, she acquired Animal Hospital of Orwell.
Albion Animal Center opened as a new veterinary practice in 1991 with Drs. Boyer and Mechling. At that time the clinics provided small and large animal services along with their sister clinic, Western Reserve Animal Clinic. The two veterinarians knew the need for veterinary care and respected the community. They witnessed the resilience the Albion residents had after the area suffered a devastating tornado in the spring of 1985.
Currently the clinic provides veterinary care to small animal patients in the Northwestern Pennsylvania and Northeastern Ohio area. The clinic focuses on providing the best medical standards while offering a hometown feel to the clients that walk through our doors. The clinic has tenured staff to educate clientele about the best methods to raise their four-legged family members.
The clinic engages in the latest of veterinary technologies and equipment to ensure the best medical standards are provided to our patients. We offer full digital radiology including digital dental x-ray, ultrasound, state-of-the-art in-house lab diagnostics, and laser therapy. We focus on preventative care, wellness programs for kittens/puppies, adults and senior patients, soft tissue surgeries, proper dental care, and nutrition for our patients. Our staff attends continuing education courses to ensure they are kept up to date on the most current veterinary technologies.
